At Garage No.1, we prioritize providing our customers with a seamless and enjoyable car rental experience. While we strive to maintain our vehicles in optimal condition, we understand that occasional damages may occur during the rental period.
Although we prefer not to impose charges for damages on vehicles returned from rental, we must ensure the continued quality and safety of our fleet. In cases where insurance coverage is not booked, we are obligated to assess and compensate for any damages incurred.
It's important to note that the compensation charged to customers for damages is not solely based on repair estimates. Factors such as the diminished value of the vehicle, logistics required for repairs (including transporting vehicles to repair shops, obtaining repair estimates, and administrative tasks) also contribute to the overall cost.
The damage compensation charged to customers is an averaged amount calculated based on the average cost incurred by a large number of damages, varying depending on the car category. While we tend to be transparent and fair in our assessment, we want our customers understand that the exact cost of damages may vary depending on multiple factors, and our aim is to ensure a fair and equitable resolution for all parties involved.
Our South African damage compensation policy follows local regulations and standards, ensuring fair and transparent practices for all our customers.
